What It Is

In a 60- to 90-minute workshop, Karla draws on the latest research and her family’s own experience to affirm, support and inspire those tirelessly working in the long-term care industry. Karla humbly offers the family perspective that can help make caregiving as comfortable and rewarding as possible for all involved.

How it Works

Before the workshop, we’ll talk about your organization’s current caregiving needs, challenges and successes. Karla will then customize her presentation to address your specific experiences, such that those working on the frontlines of this important field feel seen and heard.

Karla also includes a “best practices” model that considers the latest research and her family’s own “hits and misses” during her dad’s Alzheimer’s journey. She specifically addresses some of those underlying – and sometimes unspoken – questions, concerns and fears families may have related to their loved ones living in long-term care.

Who Benefits

The workshop truly benefits everyone involved in long-term care: those who bring their innate caregiving talents to a challenging field, the families that want to protect their loved ones… and the loved ones themselves who deserve our care and respect. By offering both practical advice and emotional support, the workshop simply reinforces the bridge between families and caregivers who deserve their dignity and our care and respect.

Our family's angel caregiver, Hannah

Our family was fortunate to find Hannah… our caregiving angel. Her top advice: move slowly, deliberately and with respect and kindness.
